AI is crucial for hyper-personalization.
Experiences will become hyper-personalized and curated, even if the level of depth varies¹.
Every experience will have AI incorporated in one way or another. Some experiences will include it, others will rely on the user bringing theirs (this will be seamless).
Infrastructure² or Trust³
If you're a company, you have to build one or the other, the rest doesn't matter. It'll either be bought/crushed by companies who've built infrastructure, or outperformed by companies who've built trust.
It's very hard to do both. You start building (or burning) trust even before you officially launch your company.
It's a situation where you can't be 95% on infrastructure and 95% on trust. In the long term you'll go to 0.
To win you need to be 100% in infrastructure or 100% on trust (and incorporate 100% infra.).
Our use of AI
AI enables us to use the two most important and defensible assets (trust and information), to give people an unforgettable, invaluable, personalized experience at scale.
Experiences that give your life meaning, and help you live with intention. These come from connecting with others and the world in a more profound and genuine way, all while keeping an immense level of technology and hyper-personalization invisible to the user experience.
More info:
level of depth varies¹: Hyper-personalization and curation can be as simple as knowing your t-shirt size when shopping, all the way to matching you with someone to go on a short trip experience. The information and matching involved in the t-shirt example is less deep than the person-to-person and person-to-experience matching which considers many more variables.
Infrastructure²: Companies like OpenAI are building AI infrastructure. Companies like AirBnb and Wander are building travel infrastructure.
Trust³: Referring to a unique long-term relationship with users and customers. Trust includes knowing about your user better than anyone else, and seeking your recommendations, and sharing their feedback to improve future experiences.
