People want to live meaningful intentional lives.
Meaning and intention come from and are driven by connecting in a more genuine and profound way with people, places, products, experiences, and more.
It’s the realization that our time here is extremely finite and that today is a blessing.
Experiences can bring you closer to this realization.
Those who’ve had a near-death experience can walk away with a different perspective on life. The same with those who’ve lost loved ones, especially earlier than expected.
Living certain experiences and connecting with specific people can cause the same effect.
The most impactful experiences and people in your life are those who support you in finding meaning and living a life led by intention.
We believe (and hope) society as a whole is moving towards this realization.
We’re currently in a hyper-connected, meaningless, intentionless part of the technology curve.
A small sliver of technology is helping us live a meaningful and intentional life.
There will be three categories of consumer companies:
Infrastructure and Maintenance: Companies that help you pay taxes, track exercise, book a ride, order food, save memories, etc.
Connection and Meaning: Companies that give you personalized thoughtful experiences for you to live life in a more meaningful way by connecting with others, experiences, places, and more.
Consumption: Companies that seek your attention, seek to entertain without meaning or true intention.
We believe that Consumption companies will disappear, Infrastructure and Maintenance companies will be optimized and competitive, and Connection and Meaningful companies will be the most important and will be created with deep thoughtfulness and long-term human-experience design.
